James Suckling Tasting Report
Rich, sweet-raspberry, pepper, herb and fresh, floral allure. The palate is smoothly layered with supple, fine and easy tannins. Long and succulent. Superb, energetic finish. Drink or hold.

The 2016 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Safres shines for its elegance and seamlessness more than its power and richness. Dried red fruits, spice, some dried flowers, and garrigue notes all flow to a medium to full-bodied red that just glides over the palate. A blend of 95% Grenache and 5% Cinsault, it’s a beautiful wine.
