Darren Harris
Medium red (the colour of most 2017’s). Supple nose of cherry, currant, gentle spice, Asian tea and rose. It is refined with the silky texture and juicy fruit one expects from Suchots with caressing tannins in support. Where the 2018 is powerful, the 2017 displays the more refined character of that vintage. It is sneakily long.
Jancis Robinson
Black-cherry, sweet spice, leather and menthol character - aromatically complex enough to justify premier cru status. Good chewiness and length too, while retaining the elegance of the cru. (RH) (Drink between 2021-2033)
