Very dark colour. Ripe black-blue fruits with Asian spice, black tea and a subtle woodiness. There’s huge power on the mid palate when the spices build and are joined with minerals and florals. The palate is intense and muscular with a firm tannin spine. Everything is there in spades - this wine just needs time. Where the 2018 Suchots in Romanee-St-Vivant, the Beaux-Monts is more Richebourg/Grands Echezeaux. It will be great but you will have to be patient.
