Cacheux are one of a handful of owners of Chambolle-Musigny Les Argillieres which lies right alongside the Grand Cru Le Musigny. The wines of Musigny are often spoken about as an “iron fist in a velvet glove”. Not surprisingly Les Argilieres shares similar characteristics. But at a fraction of the price.
The domaine owns a minute 0.13 hectares with a vine age around 50 years. These factors combine to make for an exceptional wine, albeit in tiny quantities.

Perfumed and floral: violets, cherries, kirsch with with a pomegranate tang. This is a wine that always treads lightly but has great intensity. It is concentrated and energetic with beautiful floral and spice aromas wafting in and out. It always reminds me of the Grand Cru Musigny with whom it shares a border. A must-try.
