Did not suffer from the drought in this lower slope location, so Pierrick was able to make his usual four barrels. The darker side of purple, with good fruit density on the nose, dark raspberry. Starts well and then swells to the back, ripe strawberry as well as raspberry, fills out very attractively with a fine long finish. Not a famous terroir but a very well made wine.

At the top on the road between Chevrets and Santenots Dessous - usually the most concentrated. It’s an old (70) vine of almost half a hectare
Starting tight but opening quite quickly with air - freshness and very attractive. Cool fruit, some purity here that has a slightly direct but very mouth-watering style. That’s a really super wine - I like it a lot!

The Volnay Robardelle 1er cru is always one of my favourites here - from a terroir located in the lower, southern end of the appellation. It is open and expressively delicate, and has a lovely hedonistic side. The bouquet is brimming with fruit - delicious.
