The Pommard village is more forward and ready to taste. It offers plenty of detailed fruit - forward and open with a lovely drinkability. The nose is showing a lovely selection of red berries with a nice earthy mineral note. On the palate very good concentration, nice depth with a nice cool balance. A quite charming Pommard village in the making.
The Fine Wine Review
12.8 hl/ha. This wine is mostly from the Chanlins lieu-dit, on white soils above Rugiens. As one would expect, there’s more structure here than in the previous wines. The density is about the same as for the Volnay, and theres good length. The wine is quite open for the moment.
