The provenance of this wine is from several different parcels situated throughout the commune, mostly on the From parcels all around Gevrey. No doubt in 2021 this includes some classified growths that were not bottled individually - Champerrier Vigne Centenaire and Au Velle. Average vine age of about 40 years.
Etienne vinified all his Gevrey-Chambertin grapes this year rather than selling some. He usually retains five plots, but this year all eleven. Mid crimson purple. The bouquet is attractive, quite delicate but not weak, very promising with light strawberry notes. Fills the front of the mouth, a little lighter behind, with the sandalwood note to finish. Drink from 2025-2029. 89-90 Points
