A downslope continuation of the Grand Cru Chapelle-Chambertin. Planted in 1978. Notes of cherry are very present as always, followed by nuances of liquorice. More textural than heavily structured, it has good staying power.
An intense purple black, very deep for this vineyard. A mix of oak and ripe fruit on the nose, this is powerful, with an inky concentration all the way through, and the oak showing behind. One of the higher degrees as well, which shows a touch, though with a saving acidity. Drink from 2030-2037. 91-93 Points
