On an old quarry below Mazis-Chambertin. 2 parcels of vines; one planted in 1982, the older one in the 1940s. The bedrock is ever present and fissures allow the roots to penetrate deep down. On a gentle slope, the vines face the rising sun.
A lively dense purple here, with more juice than heat on the nose. A very pleasing succulence, though still powerful, the fruit on the cusp of raspberry and strawberry, but all red not black, with an engaging freshness behind. Fine length too. Drink from 2030-2037. 92-95 Points
