Red with a little purple. Lovely nose of violets, dark fruits (cherry), herbs and spice. These follow on the palate in a wine that is quite savoury for the vintage. There is a good level of intensity without ever feeling heavy. This would be an excellent wine for roast meat where the savoury elements could meld with similar aromas and flavours.
