Darren Harris
Bright red. Super lifted aromatics: cherry, kirsch, liquorice, minerals but mostly driven by a strong spice element. In the mouth this is full and round, quite juicy and succulent. It is long, silky and relaxed, the acid zingy and the fine-grained tannins shrouded by the beautiful fruit. The balance is impeccable as the wine is intense but feels very light on its feet. A really fine example of Clos Vougeot from a great vintage. Aromatic and supple enough to enjoy now but Clos Vougeot really is a wine for the cellar. Try to be patient!
