Chartron’s village-level Puligny, as always, is a marvellous road map, blended from parcels throughout the village. It is particularly good in 2024, with bright lemon peel, green apple fruit, and hints of briny minerals. The texture is lively and fresh, but there is enough substance to balance the dynamic tension of the acidity and ensure a lingering finish. The grapes are a blend of domaine-owned parcels and exchanges in must with other vignerons, including lieux-dits such as Derrière la Velle and Les Levrons (domaine) and La Rue aux Vaches and Voittes (exchange).
