The Chartron bottling of Folatières is a step above the other (very admirable) premier crus of this estate, and seems to me nearly at the same level of quality as the grands crus. There is a pronounced aroma that ranges from lemon peel and citrus to more exotic notes of passionfruit and ripe nectarine. The texture is concentrated and surprisingly rich with extract for the vintage, yet balanced by exceptional freshness that lingers interminably on the palate. The grapes are from a half-hectare in Ez Folatières in the centre of the climat running from the middle up to the wood. Drink 2030-2060.. 94 Points
