Domaine Chartron’s 2023 Bourgogne Côte d’Or Blanc was one of the vines bottled at the end of August and was showing quite nicely at the time of my visit. The lovely nose offers up scents of apple, white peach, chalky soil tones, citrus peel and a touch of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is bright, full-bodied and nicely reserved in personality at the moment, with a good core, fine acids and lovely balanced on the long and bouncy finish. Good juice. (Drink between 2025-2035). 88 Points
Pale lemon colour. There is still a certain reserve here, but the quality of the terroir is starting to show nonetheless. Picked on the first day which may explain the more reserved style. The palate is significantly more full throttle, with a pleasing generosity, backed by adequate acidity. A fine long finish. 87 Points
