All the richness one wants in a Bâtard is supplied by Chartron’s 2024 wine from this grand cru. There are lush, ripe aromas of pear and melon with accents of butter, spice and linden flowers. The texture is silky and dense, but there is abundant freshness here to keep everything in balance. This vintage has more balance and elegance than some recent 'global warming' vintages. It is a wine of refinement that can enjoy a long life in the cellar. The grapes are from a small 0.12ha parcel on the Puligny side. Drink 2030-2050. 95 Points
