I thought there might be the faintest hint of volatility, which can be tidied up, but otherwise an interesting cuvée of Nuits-St-Georges, with a notably fresh finish. Red fruit rather than black. The usual blend of lieux-dits Chaillots and Lavières, the 2022 Nuits-Saint-Georges Village wafts from the glass with aromas of plums, smoky berries, spices and orange zest. Medium to full-bodied, rich and layered, with a generous core of fruit framed by powdery tannins, it concludes with a floral finish. 90-92 Points
The 2022 Nuits Saint-Georges Village comes from two parcels, two-thirds from Les Lavières. This fragrant, Vosne-like bouquet offers pretty blueberry and black cherry fruit that seem to blossom in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied and incorporates the 30% whole bunches with style. It is very cohesive with a sorbet-fresh, live-wire finish, leaving a dash of residual white pepper to linger in the mouth. (Drink between 2026-2036). 90-92 Points
