He likes the vintage in Gevrey because there was enough rain. 2023 provided the best grapes he can remember since starting in 1994 in these vines. Gilbert has made 9 barrels instead of just 400 litres in 2024. A bright ruby purple. The fruit hovers between raspberry and strawberry – normally more of the latter here – and is beautifully juicy on the palate. An elegant finish with good acidity, refined raspberries showing through. Drink from 2027-2033. 90-93 Points
The 2023 Gevrey-Chambertin La Justice has turned out brilliantly, bursting with aromas of sweet berries, orange zest and rose petals. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and layered, with a succulent core of fruit and soft, powdery tannins, it's the finest rendition that Felettig has produced from this site to date. 90-92 Points
