Firm reduction. The succulent, sleek and rounded middle weight flavors possess a succulent, even sappy

The malolactic on the 2020 Beaune Les Champimonts 1er Cru had only finished a couple of weeks before my visit. Cropped at 20hl/ha with 70% whole bunch, this has a concentrated bouquet with dark cherries, iodine and incense aromas, quite opulent and luxuriant. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins that lacquer the mouth, very dense and bold but this is just a bit hard on the finish. I think I will revisit this later.
