The 2022 Volnay Village is a blend of two lieux-dits, as usual. It has a feisty and lively bouquet with raspberry, blueberry and sous-bois scents. There is plenty of substance here, lovely red berry fruit laced with graphite and impressive substance and freshness on the finish. Recommended. (Drink between 2026-2040). 90-92 Points
A mix of Famines, the ripest plot, and Gigotte, which brings some freshness. Incredibly dark by Buffet standards, with an opaque inky nose. Not quite sure what to make of this but the intensity is impressive and it does come across as fresh enough at the finish, and very persistent. Drink from 2028-2033. 89-91 Points
