A blend of two parcels, the 2021 Volnay Village has a straightforward, again, airy bouquet with wild red berry fruit and a hint of rose petal. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, taut and fresh, with a welcome touch of spice that fills out the finish. Very fine. (Drink between 2024-2034). 89-91 Points
Fresh, light to mid-purple. A very elegant Volnay nose, definitely Volnay! Light red berry fruits. Now picked much later than it used to be, which has worked very well in 2021. The wine is now less hard at the finish and with a pleasing cherry juiciness, and good length. Drink from 2025-2029. 88-90 Points
