Old vines produce a wine that is both powerful and silky with red fruits and spice overtones.
Rather a dense purple by Buffet standards. Quite intense raspberry fruit, quite powerful with some tannins behind though the fruit will win that battle. Medium plus persistence. 88-90 Points
The Savigny Narbantons shows all the strong points of the vintage. It’s fresh, vivid, lively, although currently with a slight hardness from a recent dose of sulphur. A fine introduction to the house style. Very Good. 89 Points
An exuberantly fresh and very pinot-like nose reflects mostly scents of various red berries and humus-inflected earth along with a floral top note. I very much like the texture of the sappy and delicious medium-bodied flavors that possess good energy on the balanced and sneaky long finish. This needs to develop more depth to merit the upper end of my projected range so a few years of keeping should be helpful. (Drink starting 2029).89-92 Points
