Vinous Media - Neal MArtin

The 2020 Pommard Poutures is very well defined on the nose with blackberry, briary, wild strawberry and touches of rose petal. The palate is very crisp and mineral-driven, darker fruit than the nose with blackberry and raspberry mixed with spices and white pepper on the finish. Great length.

Burghound

A slightly more elegant and marginally fresher nose freely reveals its aromas of red and dark raspberry, cherry, currant, warm earth and soft floral wisps. There is excellent verve suffusing the dusty and tautly muscular middle weight flavors that display much better depth and persistence on the youthfully austere, firm and built-to-age finale. This too is really quite good, again provided one is willing to cellar it for at least the mid-term. (Drink starting 2032).

James Suckling Tasting Report

This Pommard is rich and dark, as we expect the wines of this appellation to be. However, the chocolatey tannins are not in the least drying (a common problem with this appellation) and already well integrated. Stacks of amarena-cherry fruit that runs right through the long, supple finish. Drink or hold.
