I have said on many occasions that the 2016 vintage produced some exceptional Clos Vougeot. This is another one. Intense nose of blue-black fruit. A hint of menthol in the background. Darker and deeper than the Charmes-Chambertin. The fruit is fine and long combining 2016's inherent character with the power and drive of Vougeot. The wine is extremely long and intense with a twist of refreshing citric acidity on the finish and fine grained tannins. This is going to age, and age, and age. Really super.
