Stunning nose! Is this Burgundy? Fresh stonefruit and a lick of complexing sulphides. A blend of Roussane, White Grenache and Clairette part matured in barrel, part with malo. I don't recall ever tasting a white Chateauneuf of this style. Refined flavours of stonefruits and minerals. Crisp and fresh. Mouthfilling. never heavy. There are elements of Premier Cru Chassagne-Montrachet. The 2016 vintage is being highly praised by the winemakers and this is a stunning example of what the new generation can achieve. I am in awe. Bravo Florent!

This is dreamy, with creamed melon, pear and green fig flavours gliding along, framed by light brioche and meringue notes. The long finish lets the fruit hang beautifully. Offers refined opulence. Drink now through 2022.

The 2016 Chateauneuf-du-pape Tradition Blanc is a beauty, as always, and offers a clean, crisp style as well as lots of stone fruits, citrus rind and enough salty minerality to make you salivate. Medium-bodied, elegant and lightly textured, enjoy bottles over the coming 3-4 years, or cellar even longer if you're so inclined.
