Jancis Robinson
Grown on clayey sand and Bathonian limestone. Three-quarters of the vines are about 60 years old and the rest were planted in 1999.
Translucent ruby. Edgy, lively nose with real subtlety and grip. Lovely mineral freshness. Super-appetising.
Wine Enthusiast - Roger Voss
Flinty reduction still hovers and casts a spell of freshness and peppery verve over the clearly evolved nose of this wine. The palate falls into step with red-fruited, spicy intensity that has edges of autumnal, wet oak leaf and roast pumpkin. Red fruited tartness makes the mouth water and adds a sprightly freshness to this slender but profound wine. It's like a vision of autumnal forest shot through with red-fruited energy. Drink by 2030.
