Darren Harris
Deeply coloured. Powerful nose of darks fruits and serious amounts of spice. There’s a touch of fresh mint wafting in and out. Pleasingly exotic in its character. Very textured in the mouth with silky fruit over a classic framework. The wine is detailed and intense, yet all the while it remains refined with a beguiling coolness. The vines were planted in 1959 in one of the best climats of Echezeaux.
Gilbert & Gaillard
Clear, light ruby. Heady nose with ripe red fruit tones, roasted coffee and some mature forest floor aromas. Flamboyant, ample, silky attack followed by a very aromatic finish that still shows some freshness.
