Les Fremiers is on the Volnay border and diagonally across from Pommard 1er Cru Rugien Bas. The domaine has a 1.65 hectare parcel. Deep colour. Nose of cherry, blackcurrant, plums and violets. This is tightly would with a mineral drive on the palate no doubt from the presence of rock as well as clay in the soil. Stylish and focused with lovely balance. Elegant and long and quite delicious. A Pommard of character and class.
Pretty sustained color, beautiful ruby. Fine nose, on wild berries (cherries, blackcurrant). A very elegant Pommard, very supple, with a velvety grain. The finish is adorned with fine tannins and minerality. Such a sense of balance is pure happiness.
