Deep garnet. Oh, what a nose! Lifted aromatics of bright raspberry, cherry danish, aniseed, vanilla, spice and a hint of new oak. On the palate this is beguilingly fresh and lively with red currant acidity and cool vanilla spice. It is deeply flavoured from the old vines but with such refined tannins, the texture is exquisite. There are no hard edges here. This wine is all style. It has the depth of Morey with some spice from Vosne. Pommard Les Boucherottes - where have you been all my life! You certainly get the feeling that the winemaker knows just how to vinify this vineyard.
"In between the finesse of Beaune and Pommard richness" says Benoit. "Clay and limestone at the bottom and more limestone at the top. Fault at the top of the vineyard. We find a lot of rock in the soil. 1.81 hectares" Rich and plump with a juicy rounded and full mid palate. The tannins give a more tense clack to the finish. Fresh and more austere finish after the ripe palate. 2023-2030.
Intense ruby color of a manifest youth. Still discreet nose with elegant fruitiness (morello cherry, plum), fine mineral and spicy touches. Concentrated, silky, dense mouth, with splendid aromas emerging. Silky tannins, woodyness of quality, a splendor.
