Montmains is on limestone soils from the Upper Jurassic Kimmeridgian era, very rich in marine fossils and in particular in Exogyra virgula, a small oyster typical of Chablis soils. It occupies one of the hillsides on the left bank of the Serein with a south-east exposure.
Not yet prepared bottling which will be at the end of the year. An attractive, stones and lemon nose, clean and fresh, lightly reductive, with fair to good length. Representative of the vineyard, with just a little extra ripe perfume at the finish. Drink from 2024-2027.
