Les Mitans is a 3.98 hectare vineyard on the eastern side of the village. It was first mentioned in the records in 1236. The vineyard has light, stony topsoil and produces one of Volnay's most elegant and delicate expressions.
Very deep garnet. Notes of red fruits and flowers with a little chocolate in the background. In the mouth Les Mitans has a fine, muscular profile. The least exuberent of the three Volnay 1er Crus with an understated power. Excellent length with precise mineral-enhanced flavours running through the wine from start to finish.
