From parcels in Volnay with a little Pommard and Meursault fruit. This wine typically displays a gorgeous nose of small red-black fruits with spice and floral notes. A Volnay character to the fore with fine aromatics, a tasty, flavoursome palate and a fresh acid spine. There are some old vines here. Elegant and refined, and very Volnay.
Bright red. Medium depth of colour. Lifted nose with crunchy cherry and cranberry followed by minerals and a little earth. The palate is juicy with ripe fruit but is certainly quite elegant. Lovely balance makes this an Bourgogne of style displaying characteristics expected of its Volnay origins. Refinement is the word.
