2021 is a return to the classic style of Burgundy with lower alcohol and defined terroir. They will be great wines for traditionalists but like all 2021’s there is little to go around.
Nuits-St-George's most famous vineyard and often discussed as a candidate for elevation to Grand Cru. The domaine owns 0.45 hectares producing a complex and detailed wine from 70 year old vines.
Saint-Georges is the flagship terroir of the appellation, capable of producing robustly structured wines. The 2021 vintage favors a slightly more refined expression, evoking cherry and fresh black fruits. Its texture is luscious and elegant, with fine tannins and a persistent finish. A very successful wine!
Bright ruby. Refined nose with spices, flowers, cigar box, graphite, and smoky notes. Balanced palate, integrated tannins, long finish. Cold maceration, spontaneous fermentation, 18-month aging in wood. Long-lived, elegant, with great depth.
