Pure flavors of cherry and raspberry are incisive and mesh seamlessly with the silky texture in this alluring red. It's ripe, fresh and well-structured, with balance and a lingering aftertaste of cherry and spice. Best from 2022 through 2035.
Only the merest hint of tar and black cherry can be made out on the shy nose of this wine. Black cherry appears on the juicy, ripe but fresh palate, leaving the tar as a mere footnote and emphasizing juicy freshness and robust tannins. The finish has a little heat but speaks of the rounded, full-bodied generosity of 2018.
