Here too there is a similar mentholated nose on the spiced plum, dark cherry and warm earth-suffused aromas that are trimmed in enough wood to mention. The delicious and energetic middle weight plus flavors display focused power on the moderately austere finish where a touch of dryness slowly emerges. I suspect that this will round out in time as the dryness is subtle. Drink 2028+.
Deep ruby red. Spiced black plums, rich smoke wafting out of the glass with deep red fruits. Great energy on the mouthful, it’s loaded with complex primary fruits and a refined freshness. Smoked duck, spicy oak, toast and pine mushrooms laced with a hint of black truffle. Wine lifted with air, became even richer and length improved to a long mouthful. Red meat is calling for this wine, along with river fish and roast pork.
