First vintage!
Most of the grapes come from a vineyard called « Au Village » just under the Village of Meursault.
A piercing nose: grapefruit, roasted hazelnuts, flowers, chalky minerally soil, a hint of honeycomb and a little gunflint – all the things I expect from Meursault. Powerful on the palate with plenty of fruit weight and a stony/citric acidity. Long and intense. The flavours remind me of Comte Lafon wines and the finish of Meursault 1er Cru Perrieres with its mineral drive. A serious bottle of Meursault to cellar or enjoy now.
