Mazis-Chambertin is a favourite of our clients. It is an extension of Chambertin Clos de Beze and displays similar characters - a certain beguiling wildness and a fine acid spine. Jasper Morris MW says "They often have a wilder character than other members of the Chambertin family, with notes of tannins, leather, menthol, liquorice - all sorts of complex aromatics that are far removed from the opulent sweet fruit of Charmes-Chambertin."
