Burgundy is made up of several sub-regions starting from Chablis in the north all the way to Corteaux-de-Lyonnais in the south each with its own unique character which is what makes this region so exciting and inviting for wine lovers around the world.

There are two main grape varieties used in Burgundy which are Pinot Noir for red wine and Chardonnay for white wine. Other varieties that are also used but are not as common are Gamay and Aligote, mainly in the Beaujolais area.
