Made on the négociant side of the Bichot business, this is a an ethereal, approachable Pinot Noir from a great vintage in Burgundy. Freshness and purity of expressive red cherry and cranberry with lifted violet notes. Light-bodied but complex, layered and long, with a coolness from limestone soils. It spends 16 months in 50% new oak and is well integrated and unforced, with the perfumed fruit shining through. Very enjoyable. (Drink between 2017-2027)

Bill Nanson "The Burgundy Report"

A fresh and floral nose less deep than some but still lovely. Extra sweetness, very good intensity too. This is a more direct delivery of flavour with an interesting freshness yet still sweetness of fruit. Very engaging wine, also with a mineral complexity at the end. I’m almost surprised to be left with just a little tannic texture on my tongue at the end of the good finish. Super!

Wine Enthusiast - Roger Voss

While this wine has generous swathes of ripe fruit, it also has plenty of the dark tannins that are found in the northern part of the appellation. It is dense in character, packed equally with concentrated tannins and with red-berry fruits. The wine will age well; drink from 2022.
