The Charmes Dessus is sourced from the upper part of the 1er just below the Clos des Perrieres, the parcel is next to the holding of Dominqiue Lafon and the wine showcases extra energy and definition than the regular Charmes. This has become one of the finest wines produced for the 2019 vintage at Chateau de Meursault.

Pale yellow. Rather a backward nose, this appears low key after the oaky sumptuous character of Perrières, but it is a brilliant wine, all about the white fruit, ripe enough to include white peach flesh, but beautifully managed and with exceptional persistence. Almost saline in its minerality at the finish.
