Domaine Jean-Marc Bernhard

Domaine Jean-Marc Bernhard is situated in Katzenthal, in the heart of the Alsacian wine country, The village lies in a valley surrounded by vineyards along the Alsacian Wine Route.

The family estate is situated in the middle of the village, the buildings, dating from the 16th century, were purchased by the family Bernhard in 1802. The cellars have always been used for winemaking.

The family boasts nine generations of winemakers.


They have 9.5 ha of wines, 4 ha out of which are spread over 6 Grand Cru of very different character. The Grands Crus are the granitic but restrained Wineck-Schlossberg (Katzenthal), the calcareous Florimont (Ingersheim), the succulent Schlossberg (Kientzheim/Kaysersberg), the marly and sun-drenched Mambourg (Sigolsheim), the superb Furstentum (Kientzheim) and the lively Kaefferkopf (Ammerschwihr).


The Bernhard style is crisp and fresh with lovely minerality.
