Burgundy spanning four decades!
Not everyone in Burgundy does things the same way. In the past the domaines, negociants and wholesalers held stocks of aged wines to supply the trade. However, financial pressures have seen this service all but disappear.
However, there still remains a small band of Burgundians who do base at least part of their business on aged wines. Prestige des Grands Vins de France are one such business. Patricia Corcia, the General Manager, will be in Australia at the end of October and will host a dinner featuring a selection of wines from their portfolio.
The wines will span 4 decades with the youngest being from 2017 and the oldest from 1976. All have come direct from the domaines.
This is a great opportunity to sample some aged bottles including three Grand Cru Reds.
