New vintage, new makers, new arrivals


Our 2016 Burgundies are about to arrive en masse. It is a beautiful vintage with whites and reds displaying real style. I have selected 14 different 2016 Premier Cru Burgundies from our next container and present them at our September dinner at Ryne.


The selection includes wines from no less than 7 makers who are new to our portfolio. They all make exceptional Burgundy and I think you will love them.


So if you are keen to taste a range of 2016’s whilst they are still available and try our new makers and old favourites this dinner is not to be missed.


We start with a three Premier Cru whites from Chablis, Chassagne and Meursault. They are followed by a trio of 1er Cru Volnay including our new producers Christophe Vaudoisey and Francois Buffet.


The third bracket includes the magnificent Domaine Coste-Caumartin Pommard 1er Cru Clos des Boucherottes Monopole 2016 alongside some other well priced 2016’s from the Cote de Beaune.


To conclude we have some serious Premier Crus - Les Suchots from Rene Cacheux, Bertagna’s brilliantly sited Vougeot 1er Cru Clos de la Perriere Monopole and a pair of Gevrey 1ers including the unique Clos des Varoilles Monopole 2016.
