Domaine Jean Chartron is producing White Burgundy which rates up there with the best. Each year the domaine's reputation rises.
With 2012 being such a small vintage our allocation of some wines was drastically reduced. However, we were lucky with a few wines including the Chevalier-Montrachet Clos des Chevaliers Monopole - a wine we really have never had sufficient to offer - where we received more than in prior years.
The ship with these wines docks today. Our Pre Arrival Prices, which save you 15% on landed costs, will cease to be available at 9am of Tuesday 22 July 2014.
If you would like to secure some of these wines I suggest you act quickly. Numerous wines have already sold out and others are now critically low.
Domaine Jean Chartron Chevalier-Montrachet Clos des Chevaliers Monopole 2012
Pre Arrival Price $505.00
The Wine Advocate:
The 2012 Chevalier-Montrachet Clos des Chevaliers Grand Cru comes from Chartron's 0.46-hectare monopole perched just above Marquis de Laguiche's Montrachet. It has a very fine bouquet that seems almost aristocratic in the womb - a broody intensity here. The palate is extremely well-balanced with a core of candied, spicy fruit: nectarine and dried apricot, plenty of spice toward the long and intense finish that lingers long in the mouth. Superb. 94 Points
Not all Chartron wines are this expensive. Prices for 2012 start at $33.95. To view the full range available and order on our website click here. You may also order by email to email@example.com or by phone.
