I am just back from Vinexpo in Hong Kong. I caught up with some of our domaines and have found some interesting new products to offer in the coming months.
I spent some time with the guys from Albert Bichot and tasted some of their excellents 2012's. They are not to be missed!
I can tell you that the Burgundies of Albert Bichot continue their rise to the top echelon. This family owned company is producing exceptional wines at all levels and the feedback from reviewers is outstanding.
Recently Tim Atkin MW filed his 2012 Burgundy report and amongst his top wines was the 2012 Albert Bichot Clos de la Roche Grand Cru.
He scored the wine an incredible 97 Points!
Now a score of 97 does not mean much unless it is put into perspective. Other wines that he scored 97 Points include Domaine de la Romanee-Conti Grands-Echezeaux, Romanee-St-Vivant and Richebourg, Comte de Vogue Musigny and Dujac Bonnes-Mares. These are all seriously fine wines, most of which cost well over $1000.00 a bottle.
Our original allocation of this wine sold out within 24 hours. I have managed to wrangle another 48 bottles. If you would like to secure some of this exceptional Red Burgundy please act fast! The normal price is $389.00 a bottle, Pre Arrival Price is $330.50 a bottle.

Tim Atkin MW: The stand out wine at Bichot in 2012, even though it was made from (very special) purchased grapes. Pepper spicy, concentrated, yet clearly defined it's silky, sweet and beguilingly fruity with very subtle oak integration, fine-grained tannins and a silky, palate-caressing finish. 2017-27. 97 Points
