We have managed to prise a little more 2012 Red Burgundy out of Domaine Felettig. It was not much but enough to warrant this email.
Domaine Felettig was founded in 1965 with just 2 hectares of vines and an hectare of currants. Over the decades it has expanded with some tremendous acquisitions in Chambolle-Musigny, Vosne-Romanee and Flagey-Echezeaux.
The style of wine made here is deep and complex. The Chambolles, which can be soft at other addresses, are deep and complex. They enjoy tremendous suppport from winemakers who really appreciate the quality and style.
Burghound says of the 2012's: "As I commented last year the quality at this domaine has skyrocketed over the past few vintages and there is now an almost night and day difference relative to only a few years ago."
Most of our 2012 allocation sold to buyers of past vintages. We pressed the domaine for more and they have found us another 10 mixed cases. It is still not enough.
Burghound's notes for 2012 have just been published and I urge to act quickly if you would like some of the wines from this up and coming domaine. And, of course, at the moment you can save 15% by buying at Pre Arrival Prices.
I would also suggest you seriously consider the Villages Chambolle-Musigny, Gevrey-Chambertin and Nuits-St-Georges - they are classic examples of the appellations.
