"I place 2010 in the top three of my 40 years covering the Rhone, alongside the 1978 and the 1990"
John Livingstone-Learmonth, Decanter Magazine on the 2010 Southern Rhone vintage
It is not quite a once in a lifetime vintage but 2010 in the Southern Rhone certainly rates with the very best of the last 40 or 50 years.
There are some phenomenal wines from Chateauneuf-du-Pape and, when compared to Burgundy, they can be remarkably affordable.
Mas de Boislauzon is a tiny 9 hectare sixth-generation family estate in Chateauneuf-du-Pape run by brother and sister Daniel and Christine Chaussy.
They produce three Red Chateauneuf-du-Pape Cuvees most years. There are two Prestige cuvees that are priced accordingly plus a wonderful Cuvee Tradition from old vines. It is a bargain!
We purchased all we could of the amazing 2010 vintage. The wine is now in stock and for one week we offer this wine at the Pre Arrival Price - which saves you 15%. This has to be the cheapest, high quality Chateauneuf-du-Pape from 2010 available in Australia.
That is the advantage of buying direct from the importer!

The Rhone Report:
A knockout traditional cuvee, the 2010 Mas de Boislauzon Châteauneuf-du-Pape is a blend of 80% Grenache, 15% Mourvedre, and 5% Syrah that is aged half in tank and half in barrel. It is beautifully perfumed and complex on the nose, with aromas of incense, spiced meats, flowers, and raspberry and blackberry liqueur-like aromas all soaring from the glass. This is followed up by a full-bodied, structured, and tannic wine that has a rock solid core of fruit, loads of texture, and fantastic focus, detail, and length on the finish. Give bottles 2-3 years in the cellar, and then enjoy over the following decade. 93 Points
