Last night I hosted a terrific Burgundy Dinner at Ezard in Melbourne. It is one of my favourite restaurants and they have a top wine list featuring more than a few of our Burgundies.
The Dinner explored Burgundy and we all enjoyed 13 different wines - one from each of the major communes of the Cote d'Or. It was an pleasurable and informative exercise seeing the differences between the wines of adjoining villages. And it is always amazing how two grape varieties can express themselves in so many different ways.
