The wines of Domaine Fernand and Laurent Pillot have always delivered plenty of bang for your buck. The whites in particular are delicious with ample extract and plenty of acidity. And they are always very well priced.
Tim Atkin MW was one of the first to publish reviews for 2011 White Burgundy and he was very impressed with the quality.
The 2011 Pillot wines will arrive late this month Some wines have already sold out - most are down to the last case or thereabouts.
The great thing is, for the moment at least, our Pre Arrival Prices are all under $100.00 a bottle, with the majority substantially less. However, be warned that come 9am tomorrow morning Pre Arrival Prices will change on Pillot's 2011 wines. I have just realized that our prices for the wines were based on an exchange rate of 0.77 Euros to the Australian Dollar. Now that we are 0.68 we need to make some adjustments. Prices will rise by around 11%.
Jump on line today and save yourself an additional 11%. The difference between today's Pre Arrival Prices and the Landed Prices will be around $23.5%!

Here is one example.....
2011 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Grandes Ruchottes
New Normal Price will be $122.00 a bottle
Today's Pre Arrival Price is just $93.00
The most complex white in their range. This is a serious vineyard! Just 0.37 ha of 40 year old vines in the middle of the appellation. The wine is fermented in 50% new oak.
Tim Atkin MW: All the wines from this Chassagne-based domaine are impressive in 2011, but this is the pick of the bunch: stylish, modern white Burgundy of a very high order. Forward. Rich and smoky, with creamy, lees-derived richness and superb definition. 95 Points
