2011 1er Cru Red Burgundy for less than the price of Bourgogne!‏

Berthelemot 2011 Belissand Header

A Price too Good to resist!

Our weekend offer for the 2010 Beaune 1er Cru Belissand from Brigitte Berthelemot sold out within hours. We are pleased to offer the 2011 vintage of the wine at the same incredible price. If you are looking for a high quality Burgundy for everyday drinking this Premier Cru should not be missed.

This is the last vintage of this cuvee that the domaine will produce as the vineyard has been sold to make way for new vines in

Puligny-Montrachet Les Levrons, Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru La Garenne, Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Abbaye de Morgeot in white and Santenay 1er Cru La Maladiere in red. Not bad acquisitions when quality vineyards are in great demand.

Don't delay - we expect the 2011 to be just as popular.

1er Cru Belissand 2011

Normally $49.95 a bottle

Incredible Special Offer $396.00 a Case of 12 (=$33.00 a bottle!). Full Case lots only

Berthelemot 2011 Belissand A tiny plot of just 0.28 hectares planted in 1966. The soil is clay and limestone which is well drained despite the plot being at the foot of the slope.

Very similar in style to the 2010. Red-black. Lovely aromas of cherry and spice. Medium bodied with the juicy, and precise, fruit of 2011. Fine tannins. An elegant Beaune that you could drink now and enjoy the delicious fruit or cellar for 4-5 years for added complexity. Belissand is all about style and finesse, not power and extraction. Every bit as good as the 2010 and tremendous value for a Premier Cru.

Once again stocks are limited.

Morot Teurons Label Small

They're always good value and in recent years the quality has soared.

We don't have a huge range at the moment but if you wish to take a look click here.

P.S. I also tasted the 2012's from barrel at Albert Morot yesterday. They were brilliant!

Quantities are small - just 2 1/2 barrels of some wines. Watch out for our offer later in the year.
