John Gilman:
The 2009 Corton "Bressandes" from Domaine Guyon is a brilliant wine in the making. The complex and classy bouquet is properly reserved at this point in its evolution, offering up scents of red currants, black cherries, a touch of fruitcake, woodsmoke, venison, stony minerality, fresh herbs and a nice touch of cedar. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied,stony and quite powerful in personality, with ripe tannins, a fine core and superb length and grip on the still very primary, but impressively soil-driven finish. This will be a classic with sufficient bottle age.

Domaine Antonin Guyon Corton Bressandes Grand Cru 2010
Normal Price $135.50
Pre Arrival Price $115.00

John Gilman:
The 2010 Bressandes from Domaine Guyon is deep and utterly classic in style, offering up a complex and very refined nose of red and black cherries, red currants, a great, stony base of soil, woodsmoke, coffee, venison, fresh herbs and a touch of cedar in the upper register. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and again, very pure on the attack, with a rock solid core, superb transparency, ripe tannins and a very long, focused and tangy finish. This will be excellent with about a dozen years of bottle age and should prove to be quite long-lived. 94+ Points

Two lovely bottles of the Magnificent 1999 DRC Romanee-St-Vivant

1999 was a magnificent year for Red Burgundy. The Domaine de la Romanee-Conti performed particularly well producing some dark, complex wines that at 24 years of age are only beginning to hit their straps.

We have two lovely bottles of the 1999 Romanee-St-Vivant available.

Burghound: A highly expressive nose of remarkably dense aromas featuring classic Vosne spice and crushed blackberries leads to full-bodied and very sappy flavors that display a terrific inner core of complexity and still more spice on the hugely long finish. The purity of extract displayed here is mind bending and this is unquestionably the finest DRC Romanée St.-Vivant in many a vintage. The '99 would appear to support the Domaine's contention that all the vineyard work they've done is paying off. A great vintage for this wine and it's clearly still on the way up. 94 Points. Try from 2017.
